Keep on Track

You already lost if you thought this was a race. I’ve slowly come to the realization that I am not competing, racing against anyone else but myself. I have multiple finish lines that are the sum of the grand vision. I have to remind myself everyday why and what exactly the outcome is going to be today. Once I have answered those two questions, I am then ready to lace up the marathon shoes and run it.

“Keep your eyes on the stars, but remember to keep your feet on the ground”. I have learned that I am not at effect to the universe but the universe is at effect to me. Every action I render, there is an equal and or opposite re action. Being awake for the sunrise has presented the opportunity for acts of praise, readiness, and ability to premeditate my day before it rolls out. Not to mention, every sunrise is different and luminates beautiful light of all different colors subject to the position on the horizon.

I struggle with remaining still, I am managing a lot of energy everyday. Photography has enabled me to slow things down as it freezes time while still encouraging me to remain mobile. I am learning everyday on how to not only freeze a moment in the best composed way via picture but ultimately learning how to enjoy being ‘Still’ and not always having to be on the go. Stillness is an art, it is a skill that when mastered will be very rewarding to for me.

Chicago. You have challenged, enlightened, and ultimately encouraged me to ask the hard questions that are easily procrastinated. You have altered my identity, shifted my energy, and hosted a great environment for growth. It would have been impossible to forecast my lust for imagery without you. You have been the catalyst, the mover, and the reason I am who I am today. Thank you Chicago.

Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. We all experience chaos in our minds that ultimately leads to a lack of focus. I have challenged myself to find beauty, opportunity and smoothness in all the madness. Take a step back and acknowledge all the neurological traffic we claim as thoughts. I have been exercising my ability to come to peace with these thoughts and trying to understand how to channel them effectively. Chaos up top has always been a fact for me, learning how to utilize it to create opportunity will always be the choice.

I am a Detroit native. The energy I expend everyday is the sum of Chicago's heart beat and San Diego's coast. My vision keeps me freshly inspired, frequently humbled and forever grateful for this life we experience everyday. I am awake before most of the world catching a sunrise, training, and or crafting a narrative I am proud to live out. I have a niche for software technology and the art of telling a story through my camera. I enjoy urban exploring, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, and biking on Chicago's chaotic streets. I relate best with individuals who are really good at being themselves and influence the people around them. I work to capture stories that inspire humans to consider their relationships with what is possible and promote the idea of always exercising the imagination. I also work for Acai' bowls.
